Half-day Outings

  • Explore the ancient Venetian styled UNESCO-protected walled city of Kotor and ascend its ramparts to St Ivan's Fortress.

  • Drive to Budva, a tourist resort with its own "Stari Grad", or walled old town, right by the sea.

  • Visit the quaint old fishing village of Bigova for a drink and snack on the harbourside.

  • Enjoy Relaxing Beaches. There are a number of great beaches with café bars offering good food and drinks. Included are: Kalardovo - a "Blue Flag" beach - gently sloping, very safe and ideal for children, Trsteno, Jaz, Blue Horizons, all excellent and within a short drive..

  • Visit rocky coves with café bars and great swimming or snorkelling in clear water - Ploce beach & Trsteno beach near Budva, or Žanjic beach on the Lustica peninsular.

  • Enjoy larger beaches with activities - Jaz Beach, Plavi Horizonti, Becici, & Budva.

One-Day Trips

  • Tour the Bay of Kotor including the UNESCO-protected village of Perast and take a very special island boat trip to Gospa od Skrpela, the holy island built by seamen using rock-filled sunken ships. Stop at Stari Mlini (Old Mill) in Ljuta for lunch or Catovica Mlini in Morinj for a more lavish experience.

  • Take a scenic drive to Lake Skadar National Park including a boat trip to view bird life or historic ruins on Skadar Lake, taking lunch at "The Pelikan" in Virpazar.

  • A superb airy circular drive through amazing limestone scenery stopping at the summit of Mt. Lovcen and seeing the World's highest mausoleum. Fantastic spring flowers or Autumn leaves and unsurpassed views over Bay of Kotor.

  • Take a full day trip to visit Tara Canyon, the World's second deepest and longest.

Two-day Trips

  • A drive up the beautiful Moraca canyon to visit the Biogradska National park.

  • Book a White Water Rafting experience on the Tara Canyon.

  • Take a tour of the Durmitor National Park with its snow-covered mountains and famous "Black Lake"

Hiking Suggestions

  • A short local hike (2 kms) from Lower to Upper Stoliv, an almost abandoned village above the bay.

  • A walk on Vrmac, our local mountain, to see Austro-Hungarian roadways and old fortresses, gaining spectacular views to the Adriatic.

  • A 16 km hike from Krstac above Kotor to visit Veliki Zalazi, a "ghost" village, abandoned since the 1960s and gently decaying. (Allow one day).

  • Hike the Mrtvica Canyon to see the ancient bridge built by Prince Danilo II, the beautiful "Gate of Wishes" and trek the amazing rock-cut path high along the canyon wall. (20 kms hike plus drive - Allow one full day).

  • A walking descent from Mt. Lovcen summit to Krstac through summer pastures (3hrs) Requires two cars.

  • A hike up "The Ladder of Cattaro" from Kotor to Krstac, the old mule path and once the only route from Kotor to the interior of Montenegro. (3.5 hours each way, but possible return by car).

Just Chilling Out

  • "Drink & Dive" - Relax on a chair with a drink and dive into the "Boka" from our shared jetty just 50m from the apartments.

  • Relaxed evenings in local cafes. Beer and wine from ½ euro. Meals 4-10 euro.

  • Chill out on our terraces and just watch the ships go by.
